The system is extremely convoluted and cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta you have to spend ages sifting via youtube videos and wikis to understand it. The fact that there are new-type and old-type weapons with two distinct strategies to improve (mill ) them is foolish. Caps and affixes are unintuitive unless you have a guide to refer to that explains how they operate. Collection files are pretty boring since they just boil down to“spam more EQs“ that is probably what you were doing.
There’s too much loot in this game. Every time you kill a boss they drop a great deal of useless shit and burst as a pinata. As a beginner it’s hard to know what is not and what’s worth picking up. Most of the weapon drops you notice are horribly outdated. I guess you could seller them ? Level cap unlock quests are extremely annoying. Do I have to get a 13* +35 weapon simply to level Lv75? It’s just a hurdle thrown in to slow your progress. Who actually finds these fun? Most quests (customer orders) are just kill or bring quests. There are many, but they are all amazingly boring.
Some client orders are really annoying to do. The daily ones especially. Most of them ask enemy that is x to be killed by you but all you know is which area that enemy is located in. Which means you’ve got to run around for ages you’re supposed to kill, since the wiki doesn’t tell you where they spawn. It’s not like the mobs are even hard so it becomes a chore to kill. The narrative is totally terrible but at least it just is made up of cutscenes today and I really don’t think it’s vital to clear to progress (considering you FFXIV).
Having to cover ability tree foliage stinks. I know somebody is going to reply to this with“only await a free reset lol“ but no I’m not going to wait around for SEGA to release a balance patch only so I can reset my skill tree, that is fucking stupid. When that’s going to happen, I don’t know. As a beginner you go up look builds for your class ASAP until you fuck up your skill tree. Mags are dumb as well because they are that are meant as the stats of your Mag can’t be reset by you to boost cash shop revenue.
There is a gacha game on cellular you could play to acquire EXP on your primary character. Most people just use the game since you may use your account to pay that is a whole lot simpler than doing it to spend money on the cash store. The game is garbage. I don’t believe the combat is interesting so I’ll ignore this, but this is subjective. I know a lot of people like the battle but I guess the clunkiness of the UI destroyed it for buy meseta pso2 me personally. Also the fact that mobs just die in a couple of hits anyway.
