Short answer? I personally like OSRS gold engaging it in. If runescape needed a steady stream of fresh runescape players, I would argue it’s nice for runescape. I personally really love how engaging EoC is (as the majority of us do), and I enjoy the extra level of switchscape that empowers us to put out more DPS, but you can’t use personal pleasure to determine whether something is healthy or not. The simple fact remains runescape players do not like the new combat system and even returning runescape players are intimidated and turned away by the way battle gets at a high degree.
The switch scape that is surplus is at, and already bad levels. It was ok when it was only hybriding with hybrid gear (such as dks/kiln), but it has gone way too far. I think some bosses should begin giving rewards to reduce the need for switches. Like a ring-binder that will allow you to combine multiple rings together; or really usable and augmentable hybrid gear (like what elite emptiness was supposed to fight before invention).
Nobody forces you to change, people do it because they enjoy getting better, eliminate all switches and bad pvmrs will remain bad, and great will stay great, there is aton of small things not even switch wise that high end pvmrs do this less proficient do not, things like squeezing in as much damage as possible while still renovating timings of mechanics like tick ressing tick disruption shielding, ss flicking decreasing the food eaten therefore allowing for non brewed down stats or not losing adren out of food, kiting minions at telos in order that they can concentrate only on the Buy Rs gold supervisor, understanding the gear decisions they make at certain bosses, perk choices on certain sets etc..
