It is only a sucky position to OSRS gold see the game like this tbh. What really hurts most of all is the prosperity of potential it has that Jagex refuses to capitalize because the higher ups are frightened of putting money in to the (admittedly tons of) work it might require.
I remember after the past Runefest, most felt that RS3 did greater than OSRS since it had bigger things on the slate. I’m sure others might disagree with me, but ever since Runefest I anticipated 2020 for a slow season for OSRS which has sort of been true; we have a couple of decent-sized updates but nothing that major (unless you count the league, that will be fair).
So even if not much is happening, it feels as though things is still occurring because there are polls and discussions.
Despite the pushback and the back-peddling, it felt just like both games did kind of transition into an expansion model of a few bigger updates per year. Even 2020 was kind of built like that for OSRS with Nightmare, Darkmeyer, and Clans since the 3 big planned updates.
But looking forward to 2021 and the release programs, it seems like OSRS has broken away from that and back into the Buy Runescape gold older system of a good deal of varying size updates even when they still do hype up the start of season, summer, and fall releases.
