But why would the OSRS gold MTX overlords need to wait till Rs3 is totally dead before they start adding MTX to OSRS? If its so profitable why wouldn’t it be something which add asap?
I know this is an unpopular view around here but I don’t think MTX would come flooding to OSRS IF Rs3 completely dies.If rs3 shut down and they layed off every one of the devs working on rs3 they then could survive just about the payment strategy osrs runs right now.
Osrs has a very small team running it, I mean VERY little for how big it’s really runescapes overhead is miniscule compared to other games of its runescape playerbase dimension.
Is runescape really supposed to be going under soon? What the fuck is with all this apocalyptic rhetoric on this subreddit lmfao. I understand the runescape player foundation has lowered significantly through the years but is it really going to be taken offline at the 2020s? In the near decades, the real issues is reduced development(this can already be seen in RS3 right now, no matter what anyone tries to say), diminished servers, maintenance mode, skeleton crew, no long term prospects being developed.
The cost will likely always be at Cheap Rs gold least 11$(topic to rise fairly shortly ), but you’ll continue getting less and less. Used to get QUALITY updates each week if runescape was 5a month, today you get these presumed“growth sized updates- 120 herb/farm“, which are unfinished and barebones with no actual material, interlaced with patch weeks for months, prior to and after the content fall.
